Doha, Qatar 2010

What an incredible place to be....the last time I have been to Doha was in 2007, when I attended Stephanie's graduation and all I have seen was construction site after construction site. Now, three years later, I must say that I am rather impressed what has happened in this city of merely a population of 400,000. I am fascinated to run along the Corniche (the waterfront) overlooking the many incredible skyscrapers, one design better and more original than the other. The place is super clean and the people are very friendly (with the exception of the restaurant staff!!!) and nothing what one would would expect on a first visit to this part of the world.

I am currently enjoying an absolute great quality time with my daughter Stephanie, who lives and studies here, and with my dad who has just flown into Doha last night. Dad and I will stay another 3 days before heading back to Hanoi on October 28.
